It's nearing the end of the year now. What a great year this has been. So many exciting events happened during the past year. In this blog, I will try to recap most of the events that happened in 2011.
To begin with, very much of my life was spent in college and in university. During the first half of 2011, I was in KL. Completing my second and last semester of the Canadian Pre-University (CPU) programme at Taylor's College Subang Jaya. My CPU experience has really changed the way I see myself and the people around me. I get to meet amazing peers who are incredibly outstanding both in their academics and personalities. I must say that I miss them a lot after all of us left for our own respective universities in Canada. Other than that, I get to meet amazing professors too. Mr.Tan was indeed a very knowledgeable and fun-loving Physics instructor and Mr.Wise, my English teacher was charismatic and professional. Here I explored myself, found my true potential in music making and song writing. Most of which were inspired by my own experience. I also joined a few shows in KL, performing with Alif, a good friend and a great singer. I finally left KL for my hometown in July. This is something that I will never be able to experience anymore at anytime in my life.
Then, I was back in Bintulu. I was glad to be with the family. My dad, my mom, and my two siblings were all there although dad had to fly off early because of work. I called a few old friends and we hanged out at the mall and went to the beach. The most exciting part must be that I also get to meet my girlfriend. She came down from Miri and we spent some time together before I leave for Canada. Two months passed and I was all pumped up for another journey in this exciting life adventure.
August 27th, 2011. I arrived in Canada for the first time in my life. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into, but I am here. Eager to learn and eager to experience the Canadian way of life. The start of university got me pumped up. I am finally studying engineering - once was a childhood dream. The ride along the way was bumpy and I got myself into a few major setbacks. Past is past. I moved on and I survived. I visited some of the many great places in Vancouver. I went to the Holy Rosary Cathedral, Vancouver Aquarium, Metrotown, and Dr.Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden. I will explore more in the future. Right now, I am pretty much looking forward to next semester. Who knows what lies in front of me. The world is full of opportunities. Time will tell when we will grab it. :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. I hope that everyone is looking forward to 2012 as much as I do. God bless you all. Take care and stay safe.

Sometimes I Just Don't Care
It's getting darker and darker in Vancouver these days. Probably because winter is coming pretty soon. I can't wait for the snow although it seldom snows in Vancouver (that's what I hear from others). I have two midterms next week (Physics and Math), and I have not started studying. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Sometimes, when I see my friends have started revising and seem well prepared for the midterms, I feel demotivated. There are lots of chapters to cover. I am aware of this but yet, I don't seem to care.
There are times when I wonder, what difference does it make if you study hard but you get the same result as those who didn't study at all? In the end, your marks might be lower than those who didn't study. This happened to me most of the time here in university, to the extent that it has really pulled my confidence down.
Now, it seems that I just don't care about my marks anymore. If I get 50, I'm grateful. If I get 60, I'm grateful. Whatever mark I get, I am grateful. When you don't put high expectations for yourself, you won't be disappointed. As long as I don't fail, I am happy.
Nevertheless, at the end of the day, I know I will be able to pull everything off. I don't have to stress myself out because I know God will lead the way. He will provide the path for me and He will guide me. Putting trust on the Lord is what I shall do right now. He knows what is best for me. :)

Going Into November
Hi people! How are you all doing? It is nearing the end of the year, only one more month left. Hopefully your New Year's resolution that you made in the beginning of 2011 has come true. If it didn't, you have next year to look forward to!
Going into November, let me recap my whole month of October.
When I look back at the previous month, I wondered how I was able to pull everything off. I've had a lot setbacks, dealing with a lot of personal problems, and is struggling academically. But yet, I managed to deal with them all. I must admit that last month was probably my worse month of the entire year. I've had troubles in both my social life and academic life. It couldn't get any worse than that could it?
Anyway, I am thankful to God for giving me the strength and the courage to endure all the challenges during the past month. I prayed a lot and God has definitely listened to my prayers. He never left me going through this tough period alone. I knew God has always been there for me. I am a happier man right now. I feel like a big stone has been lifted from my shoulder.
I think I've settled most of my social problems and is also on the right track in coping up with my studies. Hopefully things will get better as it gets nearer to the end of the year. However, I still need to regain my self-confidence. I don't know why but I am always shy and always put myself to be blamed. I need to change that. Hmm..
I think that is all for now. I will try to update more often in the future. Till then, God bless you all. Have a great month of November ahead. Bye! :)

Why is it that studying in Canada seems so hard?
Hey, how's it going guys? Hopefully you all are having a great month of October. Well, it's not the same for me right now. I am going through hard times. Yeah, it happens once in a while. I don't even know where to start. And should I even express my problems over here? Who cares right? I bet not even 10 people care to read my blog though. Haha.
Ok. So, here goes. In this blog, let's just talk about my studies. Ceteris paribus - neglect others. You know when you enter university, you always want to have a good start and score as high as possible. Cause that is what you have been doing in the past 12 years; being top in high school and being one of the brightest students in the country! Sadly, that is not what is happening. Especially when you enter a top university like University of British Columbia (UBC). Everyone's a top student from their respective high schools here, I assume. It's basically like you're competing with the best, against the best, to be the best! I find myself being so below my average than I expect I will get. I would say my mark range should be around 60% to 70%. I target myself to get 80%, but I find that very impossible right now. I don't know why. No matter how hard I try, I CAN NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH!
I've talked to some of my friends and little did I know that we are all in the same boat. My friends were saying that their method of studying back in Malaysia is not the same as their method here in Canada. I feel for them too because it is happening to me right now. Back in Malaysia, I rely mostly on teachings in class and seldom self-taught myself when I come back from school. That just doesn't work over here in UBC!! You really have to do your own pre-reading, ask questions, self-taught yourself with all the sources on the net, on Youtube and ask your friends. Basically, you have to do a lot of READINGS!! Personally, reading just doesn't work for me. In order to cope, I just have to "force" myself into reading my books and do my own research on the net. The problem is, I'm not used to that style of studying. It just doesn't work for me.. :(
Anyway, I realized that I am not in Malaysia anymore. This is Canada! I just have to adapt and make myself used to reading a lot. There is one more question that I frequently ask myself, "Is the internet distracting me from studying?" You know you need to use the net to access your studying materials, quizzes and to check for grades. At the same time, you can't help it but to open your facebook whenever you go online. I know it is distracting. I really need to get this habit out of the way of my studies!
I've come to a conclusion that I just have to change my habit and be more responsible in the future. An average of 60-70% in university doesn't resemble my true potential at all. I know I can do better. But knowing that others will always be better than you is what is bringing me down. I just have to be the best for myself. I promise I will not compare my marks with them. I know my own ability. I know my own potential. I know how far I can go. I'll leave the rest to God. I believe He has everything planned for me.
If you're reading every single word until this far, I would like to say thanks for sparing some time reading and coming to my blog. I wish you all the best in your life, studies, work and in relationship. I'm not gonna talk about relationship in this blog though. Cause I'm still thinking whether to publish it or not. It's too personal and it involves people who are close to me. So, I don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings.
That's all I have to say right now. Take care everyone. God bless you. Bye!

First Week @UBC
Hi, there! How's your week so far? Good? Not so good? Bad? Whatever it is, don't let it get you down during the weekend. Find something to cheer you up like, picking up a hobby, hanging out with friends or listen to music. Anyway, that is not my point here. I would just like to share my experience during my first week or should I say the first three days of university education here in the University of British Columbia.

It has only been 3 days of classes and I can sense that this place is where WORLD CLASS education is! First of all, let me tell you about the professors. With some of the best professors in Canada as my lecturers, they have high expectations for us. Their style of teaching is easily understandable considering the fact that they have been teaching for so many years. So far, my favorite lecturer is Prof. Gateman. He is my Economics lecturer. Despite people saying that he is a strict, his lectures are very effective and enjoyable (he has lots of humors under his pocket). Anyway, we'll see how it goes in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, these professors live up to their reputation!
Secondly, the next best thing is our faculty. The Faculty of ENGINEERING! I've come to realize that the faculty of engineering has a rich tradition here in UBC. To be part of that rich tradition is what I am very proud of. Apart from that, we engineers are also proud of the color RED. We have a cool Engineering RED Jacket which cost $140. It is kind of expensive but I am planning to buy one anyway. As for now, I am studying General Engineering. For my second year, I am planning to study Mechanical Engineering, which is one of the toughest courses in UBC. However, it might change depending on my interest.
Last but not least, I would like to share on the various opportunities available everywhere around campus. There are at least 300 clubs that you can join here in UBC and there are various events that you can attend. Events such as concerts, talent shows, sports event, barbeques and did I mention free food? If you look around, some food and beverages company come to campus to promote their product by giving free food. It is up to you to go grab these opportunities. They won't come for you. You have to come to them.
So far, I've signed up for the Supermileage team, which is an engineering student team who build and design cars to compete in an eco-marathon race. I've also signed up for the UBC Music Initiatives, which will probably be a platform for me to showcase my musical talents. Apart from that, I am looking forward to join the Vanier Musicals which will take place somewhere around March next year. Too bad I don't have a guitar to play music for myself. Here, I play less music than before, Which is something I really need to get used to!
Other than that, I don't have anything much to share. I have a few Chemistry homeworks and quizzes to be done. And some reading to do as well. So, I guess I'll stop right here. Thanks for reading this far. Have an awesome weekend. Take care! :)

Confident Much?
I know how much I really like to play music a lot and how much I really like to perform in front of others yet I am afraid to go up to the stage. I know I have a lot of friends yet it still feels awkward for me to approach a total stranger. I know I am pretty darn good at my studies yet I always feel down when someone is always better than me. I know I am always confident but shy at the same time.
Yeah. That's pretty much what I am feeling right now. A loss of confidence and always being pessimistic. Which is why I confine myself in my room most of the times. I don't mind my privacy but I do mind being out there.
I guess it is just because I am too short (even shorter than a typical Asian guy). Heights are a sensitive issue for me. I feel so small. I feel timid. I have flat tyres and is a left-hander! If in Malaysia I am already considered short, I am even shorter here in Canada. The locals here look like walking trees on the street given their tall height.
Nevertheless, I am used to sarcastic remarks regarding my physical-being. Thank God I have an ear for music and a pretty darn smart brain! Haha. No, honestly. You can ask any of my friends and they will surely relate to me with music. At least, that is what I am good at apart from Maths and Physics.
Despite that, I am always grateful to God that I am not handicapped (All my limbs and veins are working well even after 18 years). Grateful to God that I am always healthy and eating well. Grateful to God that I am always special in His eyes no matter what. :)
So, yeah. I think that is all I would like to share with you guys right now. You can say that this blog post is kind of like a 'luahan perasaan' from me. So, if you don't really enjoy it, then it's fine. I'm cool.
Have a great week ahead!

UBC - So Far So..Hmm..
I arrived at the University of British Columbia last Sunday, with hopes that this place will be a 'fun' place to study and live at the same time.
It certainly has been a busy week for us as we had to go shopping for stuffs and attend the international orientations which started on the 1st of September going on till the 3rd of September. On Monday, my friends and I headed out to Metrotown to open a bank account. It was late and we were back at our residence at around 10pm. I still hadn't got my stuffs unpack yet. I was only done after 11pm before I had my shower.
The next day, we went out again in split groups. I was with Akmal, Syrol, Daus, Arshad and a few seniors. We went to get our simcard that day at a Fido shop in Central Vancouver. Yes, you're right! I have a Canadian cell phone number! But I won't disclose my number here though. After that, I also got myself a new Adidas sport shoes, which was only $59.99 before tax. Cheap? No? That's close to RM180 in Malaysia. However, there's no point in converting everything into RM here. You just have to treat that ONE DOLLAR as ONE FREAKING RINGGIT! Haha. (I don't know why I use caps to emphasize on this!) :P
The next day was quite laid back. In the morning, I went for a lone tour of campus and found the Catholic church there. At noon, I went out for lunch with my Chinese room mate. I had Subway while he had Italian pasta. Food is the only thing that I really don't like about here. Not only that they are freaking expensive (I've not had a meal below $5 yet!), the choices that you have are really limited! For me, it's either Subway or A&W or a Chinese restaurant. After that, we bought some food from the Shoppers Mart before heading home. That night, I had the opportunity to meet with my mom's friend, Mr.John Bol, who has been residing here for the past 6 years. We had dinner at a Hong Kong restaurant in Granville Street. He told me a lot about Vancouver and Canadian culture in general. He also shared his experience being a JPA Scholar like me. After dinner, we drove to Downtown Vancouver where he showed me around the interesting places that I may like to visit in the future.
We started our international orientation yesterday. Hmm. What can I say? Things were not going well for me throughout the orientation. First of, I couldn't find my group and our group leader. I immediately knew from that point that this is not going to be a good day for me ahead. And yeah, I am absolutely right! Another 'kind' group leader invited me to join their group instead. After lunch, I couldn't find them. I guessed they left without me. So, I walked all alone to the next orientation point where we were briefed about medical insurance and study permits. At 2.30pm, all of us went to the Chan Centre for a welcoming ceremony.
That following night, Samuel Santi, an Iban friend of mine, together with his siblings Mag, Marvin and fellow friends Bawen and Eve went out for dinner together at an Indonesian restaurant in Heather Street. All of us, are the only Iban community in UBC. It was a great gathering and I had Ayam Panggang with Rice for my meal. We went back at around 11pm.
This morning, I woke up late. I was supposed to go to the orientation at 10am but I woke up at 9.30am. Luckily, my roommate woke me up. Realizing that I won't be able to make it to the orientation workshop anyway, I stopped by the bookstore and bought a note book, a calendar, a file and a student planner. I grabbed a sandwich and a hot chocolate from Starbucks on my way out. And that itself costs me 8 BUCKS! After having brunch, I headed to the International House to grab a ticket for the winter classic, only to be told that it was sold out.
I made my decision not to join the orientation anymore! Lost my group, always being alone, woke up late, missed the workshops, tickets were sold out. I regret going in the first place. I'll just wait till class starts next week. I thought the first few days in my university life will be good. Instead, things aren't any fun at all right now. Hmm.
Anyway, these are the only things that I want to update. I am feeling down..but, yeah..hopefully things will be better in the coming days.
Till then, bye!

Journey From KL to Vancouver!
After 27 long hours of journey from KL, I have finally arrived safely in Vancouver, Canada. First of all, I would like to say that Vancouver is a really beautiful city. When our plane was on its descend to the airport, I can see the beautiful ocean on my left and the snowy mountains on my right. It was sunny when we arrived, with an average temperature of 22◦C. Neither was it too cold nor was it hot. Now, let me tell you the story of my whole journey. :)
KLIA, Malaysia
I arrived at KLIA around 4.30pm. My father and my uncle accompanied me to the airport. There were quite a number of my friends who arrived earlier than me. The MAS officials then gave us bag tags to write our personal details and our university address. After tagging our bags, we queued up at the MAS counter. I was first on the line and was the first to get my passport, air ticket and luggage done for the day. Our luggage was tagged all the way to Vancouver. We will only be able to see our luggage once we arrived at our final destination. It was 5.30pm and JPA’s briefing will only be at 8.30pm. I took the time to hang out with friends and had dinner with my dad and my uncle at around 7pm.
JPA and MAS officials briefed us about our passport, our flight ticket and gave all of us a few words of advice and encouragement before we headed off to the immigration check downstairs. When the moment finally arrived where all of us had to depart from our family members, it was quite an emotional one. I took a picture with my dad and hugged him. From the immigration counter, I could see him looking at me until I disappeared into the customs check. I was sad but at the same time spirited. I knew I had to live up to my father’s expectations. When I return in another four years, I will make him proud.
After going through the customs check with ease, we all went to gate H8 where we will board the Boeing 747 to London. There, I took the time to talk to my girlfriend on the phone. She was sad and was crying because she doesn’t want me to leave. But I promised her that I will be back and make her proud as well. Although we are apart at the other side of the world, my heart will always be right beside her. :)
It was 11.00pm and we were told to board the plane. My mom called me to bid farewell and my girlfriend also called to say goodbye. My seat was somewhere between the middle and the back of the plane. That was my first time on a Boeing 747. I was so excited because there was this in-flight entertainment with movies, songs and games to spare time with.
At 11.50pm, our plane took off from KLIA.
In the plane from KL to London, I couldn’t get enough sleep. The chair was too uncomfortable and my back was aching the whole time. I looked around and saw most of my friends were sleeping. Strapped on my seat, I turned to the in-flight entertainment on board to watch movies. So, there I was watching Hangover and Rio. Both were good movies and I was quite entertained.
A 13-hour journey almost felt like 13 days. I kept looking at my clock calculating how many hours left for the journey. I knew I just had to wait and wait and wait. I have no choice. The in-flight entertainment was my only companion.
Heathrow Airport, London
We landed in London at 5.15am local time, which is around 12.15pm Malaysian time. My impression of Heathrow was that it is a huge airport but doesn’t look attractive at all. KLIA is better mainly because it is a newer airport than Heathrow and has large room space inside. The weather there was windy and the temperature was 13◦C. It was quite cool and chilly but I still find it okay.
We took a shuttle bus to get to Terminal 3 from Terminal 4. When we arrived there, we were told that we could not get our flight ticket because our names written in the flight itinerary starts with our first name instead of our last name. The Air Canada official wanted all of us to change our names at the Malaysia Airlines counter back in Terminal 4. We all headed back to Terminal 4 only to be told that everything was ok and we may proceed with our check-in at Terminal 3. Gosh, that was hectic going back and forth from Terminal 4 to Terminal 3 and back to Terminal 4 and again to Terminal 3 for good!
Our flight to Vancouver was at 11.30am London time. I spared my buying a T-shirt and went online at one of the computers there. I couldn’t open Facebook by the way, but I did manage to open my Twitter account. I tweeted to my girlfriend that I’ve arrived safely in London and will be boarding to Vancouver in an hour.
The flight from London to Vancouver took about 9 hours. We were on board the Boeing 777-300. Again, I kept looking at the clock. I watched Rango and The Diary of a Wimpy Kid on the in-flight entertainment. I also listened to Chris Brown’s album and Avril Lavigne’s album to keep myself entertained. During the flight, I had Chicken Breast with Ginger for my meal.
Since we went through the skies of Greenland, the temperature was quite cold. I had to have my blanket on all the time. When I opened my shoes and put my feet on the floor, it was so cold! The outside temperature reached -65◦F.
Vancouver, B.C.
Our plane landed safely at Vancouver International Airport at around 10.30am Vancouver time. We spent most of our time at the airport just to wait for the immigration checks. It was a really long line. My turn was one hour later! After we were issued our study permit, we took our luggage and stayed the night at Travelodge hotel in Richmond. I shared the room with my friends Aaron, Alex and Elijah. I was so tired that I slept for 4 hours, from 5pm till 9pm that night. I woke up and had my dinner just before 11pm. After that, I went back to my room and crashed on the bed until the next morning.
That was basically the whole journey from KL to Vancouver. Hope that you enjoyed the blogs so far. I am in my residence in UBC right now. I will definitely update stuffs from UBC in the future. But as far as the journey from KL is concern, this is where I will end my blog for now. Don't forget to check out my photos from Vancouver in my Facebook. Goodbye! See ya.. :)

A Day In The Life
7.00 am
Woke up and took my bath. It was cold so I took the hot shower. After that, me and my friends had our breakfast at the hotel restaurant downstairs. I had fried rice and chicken porridge for breakfast while my other friends had porridge and American-style breakfast (the one with pancakes, potatoes and meat sausage). After breakfast, we waited for the bus at the other side of the road, in front of the hotel.8.30am
We finally got on the bus. As usual, the traffic during the mornings is always a busy one. We were stuck in the traffic jam for quite some time and reached KL Sentral at around 9.15am. From there, we took the RapidKL LRT to KLCC.9.40am
There was very few people in KLCC and most of the shops were not yet opened. It is still early anyway and the rain has started to pour down outside. Since we had no idea where Menara Tan & Tan (where the Canadian embassy is located) was, we took a cab there. We reached the Canadian embassy at around 10am and saw one of our friends was already there.10.30am
We handed in our passport and was told to collect them at around 2.30pm. Not knowing what to do, and since it was raining, we chilled ourselves near the entrance while waiting for the rain to stop. We managed to hop on into two cabs and made our way back to Suria KLCC.11.00am
Had our lunch at "the signatures" food court and I got myself a GCB from McD. We chilled there for a couple of hours just to kill time. We had the view of the Symphony Park, which is one of the landmarks of KLCC.2.00pm
We walked back to the Canadian embassy. I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of the beautiful scenery along Symphony Park.Since we arrived early at the embassy, we had to wait for more than half an hour. I took the time to take a nap at the waiting lounge. We finally got our passport back with our visa at 2.30pm sharp. Since we still had ample time to spare, we decided to send our passport straight to JPA in Putrajaya.
4.00pm
We arrived at the JPA Headquaters in Putrajaya right before 4pm. All of us were unsure where the building was. I called Nizhan for help and we finally managed to get to the building where we were supposed to go to. After meeting with the JPA officials, we head back home.5.00pm
I slept in the taxi throughout the whole journey. We reached our hotel at around 5pm. I slept right away until 7pm when Roy woke me up.7.00pm
We had our dinner at the Old Seremban Kopitiam. It was a tiring day, but we got all our important stuffs done. Even my UBC room assignment and early arrivals were settled on the same day. Thank God that I had everything settled before flying to Vancouver. Now, I am just looking forward to fly in another two days. :)That's all for now. Thanks for reading and coming to my blog! Bye.

Sagittarius (The Archer)
Hey guys, let's talk a bit about astrology or should I say, horoscope! Some of you believe it while some of you don't. Well, in my opinion, horoscope gives me a better view of who I am, and why I behave like this and like that, much different from others who were born with a different horoscope. However, there is no harm knowing your own horoscope to learn a bit about yourself, your life and perhaps your future!
Today, I would like to share with you my horoscope, the Sagittarius. Let me share with you this article I read about my zodiac star. Maybe you will learn one or two about me and my personality from this article. :)
Sagittarius Your element: Fire Your ruling planets: Jupiter Symbol: The Archer Your stone: Turquoise Life Pursuit: To live the good life Vibration: Overly expressive - frequent burnouts Sagittarian's Secret Desire: To make a difference in the world | |
| Description: Ruled by the benefic planet Jupiter, Sagittarians possess a natural exuberance, sense of adventure and love of life that makes them one of the most optimistic zodiac signs of all. Like their astrological symbol - the Archer - Sagittarians are renowned for aiming their sights towards whatever it is they find alluring - a love partner, dream job, vacation - and making it their own. They believe that anything is possible - and because of this belief system, Sagittarians are adept at seeking out their very own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But sometimes trying to tie down these free-spirited individuals is frustrating for those around them. Sagittarians are happiest on the move - exploring new cultures and ideas and many are attracted to occupations related to travel, the media, outdoor work and philosophical pursuits. In love, their catch-cry is "don't fence me in". But once they find a partner who understands their need to retain their own sense of self and identity, Sagittarians can be the most big-hearted, generous and fun-loving companions of all. Freedom loving, optimistic and honest, Sagittarians are ruled by Jupiter, the planet of abundance and higher learning. The wisdom of Jupiter imbibes Sagittarians with an inherent need to develop their own unique philosophy of life. The Centaur is their astrological symbol, and it gives many insights into the Sagittarian personality. The higher-evolved Sagittarian learns to integrate the two ends of the Centaur (half-human, half-beast) in order for their arrow (another Sagittarian symbol) of higher aspirations to be more on the mark. Although they are intellectually and spiritually advanced, Sagittarians are notorious for their lack of tact. In relationships they demand independence, but when in love, it can't be denied that they are one of the most big-hearted signs of the zodiac. | |
If you were born on the first or last day of a Sun sign, in astrological terms you were born on a cusp. If that's the case, you will probably benefit from reading your own Sun sign and the Sun sign that ends or begins right before or after your date of birth. For example, if your birth date is 22 December, your Sun sign is Capricorn, but you probably have some Sagittarian traits as well By Athena Starwoman |
So, there you have it. Hope you like this article as much as I do. If you want to learn more about your zodiac sign/horoscope, you can go to this website:

That's all for now. Bye!! ^^

Youtube - A New Form of Television!
I love Youtube! And I know you do too! There are lots of videos posted there from animal videos, gadget review videos, instructional videos, music videos, daily vlogs and even news updates! But, how many of you realize that there is a community on Youtube that really make a living from their videos?
Ever heard of Shane Dawson? Shaycarl? Ray William Johnson? The Fine Bros? CTFXC? DeStorm? or maybe Nigahiga? For some of you, those names might be familiar. Yes, they make a living out of Youtube! Now, how cool is that? To actually be a partner of Youtube and get money from every video you upload!
Youtube is like a new form of entertainment that replaces the television. To be honest, I can spend the whole entire day just by watching Youtube videos! I can go on watching music videos and song covers, then open up daily vlogs by Shaycarl and entertain myself to some humor from Shane Dawson or Ray William Johnson.
Most of the time, I would normally listen to song covers by Youtube singers such as Tyler Ward, Alex Goot, Sam Tsui, Maddi Jane, Jake Coco, Tiffany Alvord, David Choi and Connor Maynard to name a few. These bunch of people are my favorite Youtube singers! I love listening to their songs! And if you love drum covers, I would recommend you check out Cobus Potgieter! He's one of the best drummers on Youtube so far.
And I love Shaycarl's daily vlog! Their family is simply adorable and funny. They call themselves the ShayTards and they make daily vlogs about their daily life and post them on Youtube. Sounds fun eyh? Yet it takes a lot of gut to talk to the camera in public and a lot of editing too!
Youtube never fails me with humor! Smosh, Shane Dawson, Timothy De La Ghetto, Fred and Nigahiga are just some of them who loves making funny videos. I'm impressed with the amount of effort these people actually put into making the video. From filming, directing, acting and editing, all of these are not easy. It is time-consuming and requires a lot of patience!
Normally, this is what I do when I'm bored. Youtube is my new television! I bet most of you are not familiar with some of the names I mentioned. Haha. So, I suggest you check these guys out and watch their videos. Hopefully you like them too!
It will be worth your pastime, honestly! Hahaha. Till I blog again. See ya! :)

An Evening - So Much For The Drama
So much for going out of the house, I was involved in a self-accident today. Yeah. I was trying to park my car near Maybank when all of the sudden my left back door hit the back of the car parked beside me. Luckily the owner was not there. I reversed my car and looked for another parking spot. Fortunately, my car was not that badly damaged at all. There is a minor scratch and a small dent on the door. Haha. So much drama!
I went to the bank and one of the two cash deposit machines was broken, which resulted in a long queue at the machine. I decided to use the counter instead. I don't know why those people were willing to wait at that long queue. Haha. I opted for the counter since there was no one there. I paid off some stuffs and headed to SK Hardware.
There, I was looking for a universal travel adapter. Those plugs in Canada ain't the same as those in Malaysia. I certainly need one or two of those to plug my appliances there. I bought two adapters and an ethernet cable which I think might also be useful during my time in Canada. Who knows right?
That's basically how my evening went so far today. Was unlucky with the car, but at least I got a few stuffs on my checklist done.
See you in my next blog post. Till then, take care!

Bits and Pieces of July
I returned to Bintulu three weeks ago and I am definitely enjoying my time here right now. There is no other place like home! Being with my family is the only thing I want to do right now. After this, I will be leaving them for a year or two. Even 3 months away from home makes me homesick. What more if one year or two years away and living in another country! Waa...hopefully I survive! Haha...

I also get to meet my girlfriend during this holiday. We have not met for 7 months! She came all the way from Miri and spent three days in Bintulu. We went out most of the time and I am happy to bring her around town. Although there are times when our relationship hits rock bottom, I am glad that she loves me and that our relationship is getting better after we get to meet each other last week. :)
There are a few things that I need to keep in mind before flying off to Canada. Things to bring, what to buy, what to pack, visas, date of departure from Bintulu, etc. Most of the time, I act as if I don't care! I hate dealing with these complicated stuffs. The more you think about them, the more miserable your life will be! Haha. So, I try not to think too much about all these stuffs. Just go with the flow and trust your instincts!

With less than a month to go, I have not packed anything yet. Got to buy those plug adapters because the plugs in Canada are not the same as those we use in Malaysia. Apart from that, I wonder if I should get a few winter clothing here first. Maybe a few but not a lot. Bedsheets? Hmm. Do I really need to bring them all the way from here? Grr. Other than that, as usual, toiletries, clothing, important documents and laptop are just the few things that I will bring to Canada.
As we're heading to August in a few days time, I will need to start packing and start buying things that will be used in Canada. Heading to a new country is not as easy as it seems. But at the end of the day, I will always know that God will be by my side, guiding me in every step of my preparation. He knows what to do because this is all part of His plans. :)
So, yeah. That concludes this entry of my blog post. I'll update some more in the future. See ya! Bye! ^^

Away For Camp
JULY!!!!
Time does fly by that fast right? Barely a few days ago, it was June. Sorry for not posting frequently during the last week or two. I've been super busy with stuffs. Forms to be filled, medical checkup some more, packing for BTN Camp and solving some personal issues. Shh..you don't have to know that last one. Haha.
Talking about BTN, I will be attending a BTN Camp at Kem Maran Pahang. I don't exactly know where in Pahang is that but it will take us a 5 hour or more bus ride from Taylor's College. I've packed my stuffs and my bag barely fits all the clothes I have. Yes, I have lots of them. I even had to call my uncle to keep some of my clothes for me while I go for the camp.
I don't know what to expect from the camp but I hope it will be an enjoyable one. All I know is that the people there will brainwash you to love your country. We'll see about that come this Friday. There will be some physical activities such as jungle trekking, a 2km run and abseiling. I know I'm not fit or in a good shape recently but I will try my best to pass all these tests! Haha.
I do have one issue though. I have to register my University of British Columbia (UBC) timetable on the 5th of July. At 10pm. Yes, the university specifies the time of registration. The problem is, we are going to have our LDK1 that night. I don't know if they will allow us to use our laptops to register our timetable. A couple of my friends are on the same boat as well. We will discuss this conflict with the facilitators once we arrive at the camp. God will make a way. :)
So peeps I will be offline for a good 5 days until this Friday. Pray for my health and my safety during the camp. Pray for a safe bus ride to and from the camp. To all of you reading this, have a great week ahead!

Love Defined (by the Bible)
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

Medical Checkup and Graduation
I feel like I have to post something in my blog today.
1. First of all, I've done my medical checkup for JPA last Monday and it went pretty well. I did it in Columbia Asia Hospital in Puchong. And the fee was quite reasonable, costs us only RM158.45. But there is this one conflict regarding our mantoux test. We have to be there again this Friday at 11.30am to check the mantoux test results. The problem is, we are having our graduation ceremony on the same day and at the same time! Gosh..hopefully they allow us to push the time to a later hour.
2. To my friends who have not done their medical checkup, I suggest you guys do it at Columbia Hospital Puchong. Around 20 minutes drive using cab from Subang (depends on the traffic, this is just a rough estimate). The service was good. They (the nurses) were really organized and know what they are doing. Our checkup went smoothly although there are 8 of us doing the checkup on the same day.
3. First was the urine test, then the blood test. Next, we took our x-rays and head off to the nurse station to measure our weight and height, blood pressure and colour blindness. After that, they test your eyesight and finally was the mantoux test.
4. Everything for Rm158.45. After three days, you are required to return to the hospital to check the results of the mantoux test and also consult with a doctor, which will cost RM30 only. So, the total cost for the checkup is only RM188.45. If you're a girl, you will have a pregnancy test which will cost another RM20 and your total would be RM208.45. Quite cheap don't you think? :)
5. Tomorrow is graduation day! Finally graduating from CPU and earn myself a Canadian Secondary School Diploma. My family will be there and I can't wait to wear the robe and square hat that will mark the end of my one year study in KL.
"I've learned and experienced a lot of things here. Not only in education but also in my personal life. Although life in KL is one year, it is one year worth it. Truly life-changing for me and the experience I get from here has made me more mature. Thank God for His blessings in this year."

A Father's Day Song (Loving Father)
Credits to Maria Aragon from Canada who came out with this awesome song. I dedicate this song especially to my father first and to all the fathers around the world. Hope this song expresses what we as children want to say to our loving father. :)
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! :)

What Are Words (Piano Cover by Bryan Rundi)
What Are Words
A truly sweet and touching song about a boy who deeply expresses his love towards the girl that he loves the most. And this song is also inspired from Chris Medina's own experience.
In order to honor this beautiful, lovely song, I came up with a piano cover for it. Hope you guys like my piano version of the song. :)

Final Exams Are OVER!
Finally the exams are over. I can look forward to graduate next week! Graduation Day will be on the 24th June 2011 and guess what; my whole family is coming. I feel so relieved after completing the exams. God willing, I can pass with flying colours and earn myself an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Canadian diploma beb!! Haha.
So, what should I do to pass my time while waiting to graduate? Just stay at home, Facebook-ing and playing games? Watch movies in the cinema? Play futsal with friends? Or jalan-jalan cari makan around KL??
You know what, I'll do all of it!
I will online facebook, twitter, blogger and youtube all day, all night.
I will install more games to play in my laptop.
I will watch movies.
I will gather friends to play futsal with.
I will go jalan jalan cari makan in the city of KL!
Maybe I will do some composing and recording as well. :)
Chao!! Swoossshh!!!
