Performances: "It All Comes With Hard Work!"

PERFORMANCES: "IT ALL COMES WITH HARD WORK!"

My Facebook status says it all:

"Being a musician, I've played/performed in various places. Schools, churches, restaurants, college hall, and the biggest yet, in Dewan Suarah Miri. But my ultimate dream would be to perform in front of a very large audience in a stadium or a large open air stage where people cheer at you listening to you playing/your song" (May 9, 2011).

I love performing. It's in my blood. But I never expect it to be this far. I remember performing for the first time in a shopping mall, Parkcity Mall, back in 2006 when I was in From 2. That was my first public performance. Since then, I've been performing in my school, in church, hotels, restaurants, Dewan Suarah Miri, etc.

My first performance was playing Christmas songs on a keyboard. It was organized by the mall and Do Re Mi Music Center, where I spent a whole 5 years learning organ and music. Mrs. Catherine was my music teacher at that time. She was the one who trusted me to perform in the event. Thanks to her, I've gotten this far in my music career. She was the one who nurtured my talents and was a great musical mentor. :)

I won't talk much, so I'll just post pictures of me performing and a bit of description after each picture ok?

Performing during Christmas at Mandarin Restaurant, Bintulu.

Trying my hands on the drums at the Revolution Concert 2009.

Musical Celebration 2010 in Dewan Suarah Miri. I was on the keyboards!

A big stage isn't it? This is by far the biggest stage I've ever performed in. :)

I'm right in the middle playing the keyboards. :)

The big stage!

Our vocalist, Eunice Sem and I was behind her.

This is the Taylor's Pre-U Musical. The second biggest event I've ever performed.
Me on the left playing keyboard.

Imran and me. Imran on guitars, Bryan on keys.

This was me performing in Highland Seafood Restaurant back in 2010. Me playing a Fender Stratocaster guitar with a Marshall amp. Danny on the right playing drums.

In KL, I performed for Alif Azizi, talented upcoming local artist in Mosaic Community Studio.
Me on the drums in Zoso Music Studio.
Performing with acoustic guitar in Mosaic Community Studio.

Playing organ in church.

Actually, that's not all. There are more but I don't have the pictures in my laptop nor in my pendrive. Huhu. I could have shared more. I remember also in 2009, where I performed a duet with Mary Queen, a very talented female singer, during a Shell Dinner in New World Suites hotel. We sang and performed 3 songs, Kau Ilhamku, Anak (Tagalog version, BM version and English version altogether) and More Than Words. Mary Queen, if you're reading this, I look forward to singing with you again. :)

Hopefully one day, I get to perform in a very large audience like in a stadium or open air concert, as many artists/musicians normally do. Haha. As Mr Tan says, "It all comes with hard work".

I think that's all I would like to share. Take care guys.

Bye!!
